We started our world trip on August 1, 2019. In 2018 we took a long holiday with this vehicle to see if it would be as much fun as we hoped. So it's more fun!

Although we have 6 wheels instead of normal 4, the Mankat actually drives like a big car. It is fun to make turns, because the steering wheels are behind the seats in the cabin. So you kind of swings across the road when you make sharp turns. Els sometimes thinks that we hang over the ditch before I send in, but that is only apparent!

We teach the children many things along the way that you encounter when we travel. We also have good contacts with the old school of the children, there are some teachers and masters among our friends, and of course there are other parents on the way who also teach their children. and so we sometimes exchange and you learn something new every day

The consumption of the car is quite good. We drive about 3 kilometers with 1 liter of diesel. That is of course a lot for a normal car, but for a truck it is not that bad. Of course we count on it that these are normal roads, in the desert we use a little more

We hebben op reis opvallend weinig plekken gehad waar we echt niet konden komen, omdat onze auto te groot of te zwaar was. Vaak navigeren we om kleine dorpjes heen, we gebruiken Sygic trucknavigatie waarin we onze lengte, hoogte, breedte en gewicht hebben gezet, en komen eigenlijk altijd wel waar we willen wezen.
